N6 motor controller for NEMA 14–34 stepper and BLDC motors with FOC and fieldbus compatibility

The N6 is a compact high-performance controller/drive for stepper (NEMA 14–34) and BLDC motors (up to NEMA 23), with support for all common industrial fieldbuses. Each version is available in four variants: low or high current, with or without STO*.

With six digital and two analog inputs, three feedback inputs and a brake output, the N6 simplifies integration in demanding automation applications.

  • Field-oriented control (FOC) for efficient and smooth operation
  • Sensorless closed-loop control for precise speed and torque monitoring – reducing system complexity and cost
  • Rated current: 6 A; peak current: 6 – 18 A
  • Supports Hall sensors, incremental (QEI) and SSI encoders
  • An external brake resistor can also be connected
  • Programming via Plug&Drive Studio
  • Parameter setting via EtherCAT, CANopen, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU (RS485)
  • *Safe Torque Off (STO) and UL certification coming soon

The N6 is ideal for various motion control applications with a rated power of up to 300 W, for example packaging machines, laboratory automation, medical systems, SMD assembly lines, and winding equipment.
